How to Use the "Universal Twin Needle" on Your Sewing Machine

1. Installation

• Enable twin needle mode or use the special button on your sewing machine (if available) to limit the stitch width. This prevents the needles from hitting the needle plate, which could cause needle breakage.
• Check the thread tension by making a few test stitches on a scrap piece of fabric.

2. Sewing Tips

• Do not push or pull the fabric to avoid uneven stitch length or needle breakage.
• For a smooth seam, you can apply a fabric stiffener spray before sewing.
• For pintuck sewing (decorative tucks), we recommend using a special pintuck foot that helps maintain an even distance between the tucks.

3. Threading

• You will need two spools of thread. If your machine doesn’t have a second spool holder, place the second spool under the first one.
• Both threads should be guided through the machine’s thread guides together, but at the needle eyes they must be separated, each through one needle.

Important:

• The automatic needle threader will not work with twin needles, so you will need to thread the needles manually.

With the universal twin needle, you can easily create decorative parallel seams.

Warning: Make sure your sewing machine has a wide enough needle plate and presser foot opening to safely use a twin needle with a large gap between the needles. Using the wrong needle can damage your machine or cause needle breakage.
